Being from a different province I never got to hunt or fish with Chris. I did get to enjoy helping him put a new metal roof on their home in Nackawic a few years ago.
That was fun.
Just a year ago when he first became ill, I got to exchange deeply personal texts with him. He told me how he regretted having to be looked after and how much he loved his family.
I got to thank him for being so good to my daughter Amy and my grandson Mason. It is that kindness that made him special to me.
