We met Bro and Sis Howe when we lived in Geary, over 36 years ago. The lasting impression that they had on our lives was unforgetable! We loved our frequent visits in their home and especially loved Bro. Howe's enthusiasm for God, his family and church. His witty sense of humour and BIG smile will never be forgotten! Our prayers go out to June and their wonderful family. XO

June and family
Was so saddened to hear of Bro.Mervel Howe's passing. He will be remembered as a great christian man who was never afraid to share the Gospel. He loved his Lord and always told Dale he was ready to go. I had the privilage of visiting with Kathy a few times and very much enjoyed myself. June you and Mervel made me feel so at home. Mervel will always be remembered. We will miss him and I know Dale will miss picking him up for church and the many conversations they had. In our thoughts and prayers. We love you all. Dale and Catherine(Cathy) Morgan.

June and Family:
So sorry to learn of Mervel's death. Mervel was a long-time good friend and I conversed with him on a number of occasions over many years. Mervel could play any musical instrument at random and with the deployment of that God-given talent delighted his audience with the harmonica, guitar and banjo. Much of his music was in praise to the Lord. Many people are not aware that Mervel was professionally educated and held the coveted degree of Doctorate In Divinity, magnum cum laude, from Saint Gregory's Theological Seminary. The supplication for the degree conferral cited Mervel's extensive knowledge of the ancient Hebrew and Greek Scriptures along with his dedication in the Master's Vineyard. Mervel attended upon pastoral duties and ministered to countless people both inside and outside the Church. Pastor Howe also taught Bible across Canada in a variety of settings that included churches in Alberta, Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces. The world has lost a great Christian warrior, but we can all take comfort in the astounding legacy he has left for his family, friends and his Lord.

The two of my fondest memory’s of my grandfather are when I made my first pay by shovelling off his deck looking for something to do at the age of 8, and how every time I would visit I would obviously go over and hug both grandparents. I will never forget him telling me how much he appreciated that I would come give him a hug every time. Knowing I made an impact on his life in some way is more than I could ever ask for.
