Obituary of Wayne Kenneth McCarty

The sudden passing of Wayne Kenneth McCarty, formerly of Fredericton, NB occurred on July 9, 2023 in Calgary, AB.  Born on June 14, 1972 in Fredericton, he was the son of Dawn (Darrell) Keenan and Wayne (Brenda) McCarty. Wayne had lived in Calgary for many years where he ran his own moving and lawn care business.

He was an outdoors person who loved to hike, view beautiful sceneries along with taking pictures to share with everyone. Wayne loved his motorcycle and meeting up with his friends who he called his brothers. He loved his dogs, Kira and Willie. Most of all he could not wait to come home to see his son Chris, brothers, sister and the rest of the family. One thing everyone will always remember is Wayne’s special smile.

He is and always will be remembered by all.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is survived by his sons, Christopher Price of Fredericton and Luc Deveau (Breigha) of Moncton; grandchildren, Alden, Jade and Lily; brothers, Anthony McCarty (Sandy) of Fredericton and Derek McCarty of Riverview; sister, Stacey Keenan (Jason) of Fredericton; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2 pm with Cn. Jon Lownds officiating.  Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Fredericton.
