Jimmy Regan from Bathurst New Brunswick who played varsity Hokey with Al at STU on 1972-1973!
In my first game against Blue Eagles coached by Jean Perron who went in to coach the Montreal Canadiens!
Anyway, we were l outstared 18-1 by Moncton and Blake, our Goalie stopped 108 shots!!!!!
Ronnie LeBlanc came in on a breakaway with me the lone defence man and he made so many moves that I ended up flying into the boards and dislocated numerous bones!!!! I was rushed to the Moncton General Hospital where I stayed for about 3 days! I had just my equipment minus skates at the hospital! I called LeRoy Washburn and he obstructed me to get on the SMT bus in Moncton abs Al whitehead Would pick me up at the the station in Fredericton and take me back to Harrington Hall Hall! Vast gem my wrist to my shoulder o tow!!!!
Allie, showed up late at night at the terminal and as a Freshman, I was shivering still in Hockey gear and welcomed by a smiling Allison Whitehead!!!
I cried and was so happy to be back at STU! A life long friendship evolved.
I loved Al Whitehead and thanked him every time I saw him !!!
Love you, big Al, miss you, God Bless
Jim Regan
He was a “special” person and in our thoughts always!!!
Sincere condolences to the family,

I did not know Allison Whitehead as a family member, a colleague or a friend. I knew him as the attorney for the other side in a disagreement I was involved in. Although I can’t same much for those that I was opposing, I can say that, given the situation, I respected Mr. Whitehead. He was very personable, and I could tell by my own observations, as well as the opinions that my counsel gave to me, that Mr. Whitehead was not only an excellent attorney, but that he was a good man. I give my condolences to all that knew him, and may his memory always bring a smile to those whose lives he touched.

It never felt like work at the office, it was like you were spending the day with family and friends - this loss will leave a large hole in our work family. I am glad I have fond memories of lunches and Christmas parties with him, I will cherish them forever!
My heart goes to Marlene, Kate, Jennifer, and Brittney and all of his family, I am so sorry for your loss!

Allie, we met many years ago as two young men in our respective professional rolls , I, as an accountant and you as a lawyer. Our relationship for a good number of years was a professional one with common clients, and maybe an odd time we might have been working on opposite sides. As your roll as a lawyer I had the greatest respect for you, for how you prepared for cases, how you treated clients and adversaries, and last but not least your knowledge of law and use of common sense when dealing with issues. It wasn't until the mid-1980's when we joined in a common goal that our friendship took off. POLITICS. Wow! Did you enjoy it! We won some and lost some too over the years and ,oh ,how you did love to win but at the same time you accepted defeat graciously.
Your friendship can never be replaced .Our fishing trips ,trips to Boston and Europe will always be with me but our trips to Juniper will be the ones that stand out the most with you, me, Ed & Brent. The table top at the camp most surely got thinner over the years from the swish of cards sliding across its top to start another hand of 45's. And, I will tell you now that you definitely were one of the best 45 card players I have ever had the occasion to play with. I can honestly say that I really learned how to play 45's watching Allison Whitehead.
Lastly I can't forget our conversations and card games without mentioning the enjoyment of an odd glass or bottle of the "Lawyer's wine"(as it was called in Juniper) George Wyndam Bin 555 red . Every time I have a glass I will be thinking of you.
I don't think you have any idea how big a void you are leaving everyone with, and there's not a chance anyone will ever be able to fill it.
Thanks for the years of Friendship.
Ken

I'll miss his humour, how he made light of the craziest of situations and how he always made everyone around him feel so appreciated and cared for.

I had the pleasure and honour of working with Al on many files over the past 20+ years. Al exemplified everything that every lawyer should strive for. He was kind, compassionate, empathetic, and treated everyone with respect. Over the past six or seven years, I got to know Al on a more personal level and that only deepened my respect for him. His loss to the legal community will be felt. But as big a loss as this is for the legal community, its an infinitely smaller loss than it is to his family. My condolences to you. Al always spoke highly and fondly of his family.
I’ll really miss Al, and I know I won’t be alone in this.

I truly don't know where to start, I have known Al since grade seven, many moons ago, he pretty well grew up with my Family. I am a retired Police Officer and was the Court Sargent at the Justice Building for approximately five years. On several occasions I had the honour to see him in action as a Lawyer, He was honest, fair and well respected in his profession. Judge Lynch even liked him, lol. We had so much fun over the years, I never had the need for his services until a Family death occurred a few years ago and recently with the passing of my Mother,Wife and my Mother In Law. He was not only there for Legal advise but personal advise also, he truly has helped me. With his passing he has left a terrible void, first of all with his Family who he loved very much. He will be missed by his co-workers, Legal Profession and his many, many Friends. I can see now after reading all the awesome comments he wasn't only my Lawyer, no wonder he worked most Saturday's and yes I have been at his office on a Sunday. My since condolences to his Family.

Our condolence to Marlene and your family . We had a lot of good years together during school and in sports. I first met Al at Keswick Valley high school I would say in the early 60's. We played hockey on the out door rink and ball which was right beside the rink. Then we finished our high school in Nackawic where he met the love of his life Marlene. We played for the Nackawic high school team. Had a lot of fun in the new school meeting a lot of new friends and teachers. I often think when we would get together at Al's old homestead, to watch the NHL play offs on tv. Then a few years after the new indoor rink was built near the K V school ,that it might be good to start up an old timers team. I think maybe Pinky might have had a lot to do with that, which was a good .idea.To make our team better Al contacted a lot of the old F'ton cap players who he had previously played with. What a team that was! I thought I was playing in the NHL lol. I know Al enjoyed his second home in Juniper and had spent a lot of time there. Brent tells me that Al's granddaughters are very active and one of them is very competitive like her grandfather. Not a thing wrong with that! We will be thinking of you and you family during this difficult time.

I am, like most of my family saddened to the core to hear of Allie’s passing. I knew Allie from the time I was born, he was in our house, he shared a birthday with my sister and played hockey and ball with my brothers. I grew up and followed the same career path and eventually joined Allies firm, where I practiced for five years before moving to Halifax. But those five years were amongst the exciting and memorable of my career. Allie taught me how to practice law, how to represent people and how to be a lawyer. And whenever I came home, I always tried to stop into the office where I knew I would be called “Timmy”. The only time, place and person that was allowed. Allie called me “Timmy” from the time I was born until he and I last spoke 2 months ago.
Allison will always be with me and all of the McLaughlin family.

Our sincere condolences to all of Al's family & friends. Willie knew Allison from ball, school days & I knew him through my brothers & sisters. Allison always made a point of speaking to you specifically, no matter where he was or who is was with!! When I was fresh out of school looking for work, I filled in for one of the ladies in his office, while they went on vacation. Last time I seen Al, he spoke & I didn't recognize him & went to my car thinking who is this guy, how'd he know my name?? I specifically waited until he came out of the store and it finally dawned on me...I honked the horn and yelled out my window, that I hadn't recognized him! He laughed, saying I knew you didn't & it was bugging you! We had a good laugh. Heartfelt condolences to you all!!
Collette & Willie

So sorry to hear that Al has passed on. He was a great guy. I played hockey with him and he coached my girls in softball, he was a giver and not a taker. He will join our brothers like Don and Tim MacTavish as he patrols the left wing in the big sky rink. Condolences to the family and friends….RIP big fella.

Q: What 3 words best describe Allison and why?
A: Gentleman, sincere, and fun loving!
Allie was a life long friend! Many fun times were had growing up at Green Hill Lake. Jim's Shore was a popular place back in the day. The Reynolds family, the Hanson's, Bobby Wiggins, Allison, the Hunter's and many others came the lake to enjoy fun in the sun and snow.
Over the years Al has been a confidant and friend to our family. We will miss his smile and mischievous manner. Also his sincerity with his lawyer hat on.
Sincere condolences to Marlene, family and friends from the Burtt family.

Al was one of those great persons one thankfully encounters in life. A strong pragmatic lawyer always acting in the best interests of his clients while seeking the most inexpensive solution. My negotiations with Al were always honest and candid with respect to our positions and usually resulted in a resolution. Even more important Al was a person with a great sense of humor a great laugh a person who could make fun of himself and an individual of the utmost integrity. He will be missed. My condolences to his wife and daughters of whom he always spoke with love and pride.

I had never met Al personally until recently but I had always heard about how great a lawyer and family man he was. About a year and a half ago I retained Al as my lawyer and in my first meeting with him he showed such true compassion towards me that I knew I was in good hands and I that I was going to be ok. His knowledge of the law, the utmost respect his colleagues have towards him and then his ability to make you feel that you matter gave me hope. Over this time Al became not only my lawyer but I felt like we were friends too. We would talk about lots of things but it would always come back to how much we loved our families. I think we had even more of a connection together because he knew how much I love and value family and he loved his family more than anything else in the world too. He was also one of my biggest champions (besides my family) as he would become irate when something happened to me that was unfair or unjust and he was sincerely concerned about my well being. I will miss him a lot and it’s not because he was my lawyer but I will miss him because he was a wonderful person.
I’m not able to attend the visitation as I will be away but I will be thinking of all of his loved ones and sending my love and prayers. Love Michelle

As I read this obit this morning, I am so saddened for you all. Allison was a friend in high school and he married my best friend that I have always loved and admired. I will always remember him as happy, joking, hard working, kind to those he always knew in his early life.
At this very difficult time, may you smile through the tears, knowing that he was loved and respected and that you, as a family together, will always have him in your heart.
Your old friend, Sharon Arbuckle
