Obituary of Winzora Maxine Swain

Winzora Maxine (Graham) Swain of Fredericton, wife of Don Swain passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Fredericton Hospice. Winzora had a long and beautiful life and she would be the first to tell you, "age is just a number and mine is unlisted".

Along with her husband of 51 years, she is survived by her daughter, Bonita Craig Beers (David); grandsons, James Wortman (Susan), Craig Wortman (Carrie) and granddaughters, Lisa Hebert (Jeremy), Jena Trimble (Jeff), Katie Trimble (Nick) and Daria MacDonald (Brad). Winzora's long life allowed her the opportunity to be survived by ten great-grandchildren, Alexandria, James, Jacob, Lily, Leah, Dylan, Naomi, Carter, Everly and Norah. Winzora is also survived by five sisters, Shirley Estey, Wilza Abernethy, Lou Cummings, Donna Kupkee and Darlene Hughson. Winzora was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Laura Graham; her daughter, Deborah (Craig) Trimble; son Daryl Swain; brothers, Arnold, Dawn, and Ardene Graham; sisters, Doris Macarlane, Geraldine Doherty and Muriel Blaney.

Winzora was a career woman from a young age and had a fulfilling career as a real estate agent in Fredericton for 32 years. She was recognized throughout the years as an award-winning realtor. Second to her love of real estate was her love of fashion; she was an avid shopper and will always be remembered for her wardrobe. "Wendy" and Don spent many years with family and friends at Robertson's Point and their retirement travelling and enjoying their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Respecting Winzora's wishes, she was cremated, and a small Private Family Service will be held in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating.
