My earliest memory of Bob was when he was just a teenager, head over heels for Karen he would bribe us with life savers to leave them alone so they could "smooch." When Bob loved, he loved deeply, his sisters , his children and grandchildren, even his in-laws, well most of them anyway. We were always welcome in Fredericton, whether for a day or a night or two. My daughter and I once stayed over night with her new born baby. The baby didn't sleep and neither did we. In the morning I asked Bob if he got any sleep. He said no, and that he never minded a bit, but maybe next time the baby might want to stay in a hotel!
Bob had this electric percolator, and he made the best coffee with it. I wouldn't mind a cup about now. An end of an era, so long for now Bob, you will be missed.
My sympathies to all who loved him. Lyn Deschene Bembridge
