Years before she and my brother were married Carol came for a visit with us. She wanted to learn how to drive so I said I would teach her. We had an old 52 Pontiac and we had a lane way down to the river so it was a good place for her to learn. We went down to the river and I let her get behind the wheel. I did not think but I was parked on a slight curve and not thinking I told her to start the car and put it in gear. She did so but did not turn the wheel to go on the laneway. As a result we went straight over the field to the corn field and were half way through it before I got her to put on the brake. She did learn how to drive though. She was determined/ Will really miss her as she was one of the good ones. Deepest sympathy to all her family. She is at peace. Martha Crawford
