I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Shirley. She sure had a heart of gold. I worked with her at the Stan Cassidy Center for Rehabilitation, formerly the Forest Hill Rehab at the time. We literally had a blast working together. One Halloween we decided to dress up. I worked 12 hour shifts and she came in at 8am. She was dressed as Aunt Jemima including the black face and red scarf around her head when she arrived at work. I had brought my costume to change into after breakfast, but I led her on saying I had forgot to bring them.. haha, I think she could have choked me ..lol .. What a day that was!! My cheeks were literally sore from laughing all that day. That's only one episode, haha. Shirley will be missed by so many people, she was always there to help anyone no matter what the problem.. She was one of the best co-corkers I ever worked with. Rest in Peace Dear Shirley, you certainly was loved by so many!! My sincere condolences going out to all her family.. I did meet you Bonnie, as I remember you coming in to wait for your mom to be off work
My deepest sympathies to you all. xoxo

I was very sorry to learn of Shirley’s death and send my condolences to Ken, Bonnie-Heather, Ron, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a lovely lady with a warm personality and although I first saw her as a patient, she also became a friend. She will be missed. Peter Fraser

We have fond memories of living next door to Shirley and Joe. Penny, Michael and Sean became good friends with Bonnie and Ron. We got to meet Shirley's parents Kay and Allan Ward. We have so many fond memories and stories that made us laugh so hard that tears ran down our face. RIP Shirley. Paulette and Darryl Fraser

My sincerest condolences to your family who I am so honoured to call my family as well. I hope you know the difference you made in my life by welcoming me into your home when I was a teenager. You made me feel so loved and special. Not only did you keep us in line but made sure we turned out to be good people. I am forever grateful to you for all that you have done. Yours and Raymond’s favorite song, Elvis’ Blue Christmas will have a whole new meaning this year when I hear it. It gives me peace in all the sadness that there were so many special people waiting for you on the other side. Until we meet again Momma Shirley ❤️ I love you!!

Shirley was like another "Mum" to my husband, Scott. She was the life of the party and I used to loved to sit near her at any gathering. She was very warm to me and made me feel very welcome when my husband and I got together. My husband and her son, Ron, have always been great friends. She was a queen and such a kind person. She will be so missed. Our thoughts are with her family now and always.

Momma Shirley, you have been the beacon for so many people especially to all the kids that had the absolute pleasure to grow up knowing you. You have been the one that we all went to if ever we needed someone to talk to or just to laugh. Your laughter and hugs were filled with so much love. You will be so missed by so many people. I have so many memories and will cherish them all. Fly high sweet angel, until we meet again beautiful.

Forever our Guardian Angel, in this lifetime and beyond. Thank you for loving us as your own. I won’t say goodbye Momma Shirley, I will see you again. You were truly one of the most beautiful souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I’m sure Nan was there waiting to welcome you, as I know she was there before. Pls give her a big hug from me and if you happen to see Sully (your fave story of mine ever), give him a little squeeze for me. You left a special mark in so many lives and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for always looking out for our family and loving us like you have.
Love you so much
Til’ we meet again,
Candice xo
