Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Hawkins

Surrounded by her loving family, the passing of Joan Elizabeth Hawkins of Keswick Ridge, NB, wife of Charlie Hawkins, occurred on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton.  Born on April 9, 1946 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Glenna (Corey) Burden.

 

In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, Joan is survived by her daughters, Heather Hawkins (Joel) and Heidi Ciarlo (Tony); siblings, Sherman Corey (Molly), Ginny Barker (John); brothers/sisters-in-law, Bill Wood, Darryl Hawkins (Lori), Susan Montgomery (Steve), Ron Graham; several nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Nancy Lyons, Carol Moore, David Burden; brothers/sisters-in-law, Brian Hawkins, Grace Wood, Nancy Graham.


Visitation will take place at Keswick Baptist Church, Route 104, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4-8 pm.  A Going Home Celebration will be held for Joan at Keswick Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 1 pm with Rev. Eric MacKinnon officiating.  Interment will be in Keswick Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Keswick Baptist Church, Greenhill Lake Camp, ABW Missions.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
