Dear Kim, Neil and Claire,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Brent's passing at such a young age. Brent was a man of great humility, integrity and compassion. He was one of the kindest and gentlest persons we've had the pleasure of knowing, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have called him a friend. We will keep memories of time spent with Brent and Kim (and the kids after they came along) in our hearts forever. Our deepest sympathies on your loss.

Kim and family - we are so sorry for your loss. We first met Brent in the early days when he worked for Eastcoast Masonry. We continued to work with him through his career at Diamond Construction and then Springhill Construction. We enjoyed his warm smile, easy manner and knowledge of products and procedures in the industry. Our comforting thought are with you at this difficult time.

My grief for Brent’s untimely death is only surpassed by my grief for Kim, Neil and Clare, for losing not only a husband and father, but one of the best people they will ever know. How privileged they and all of us were to have Brent in our lives for the time we did and how unfortunate to lose him so prematurity.
Brent was truly my cousin-brother. In my younger years, I spent all my summers with his parents, Sherry and later Brent. Like Brent I got my passion for hunting and fishing at Lake Stream camp and Little Island, mentored by Brent’s father, my second father, Bob. As adults we continued (to infrequently) the legacy together at Lake Stream and Clear Lake, reminiscing of the past and creating new memories that I will always cherish.
Crack it up to genetics, upbringing or maybe coincidence, but I always knew what Brent’s reaction/opinion would be to just about any situation, because it was the same as mine.
Brent: it never got said, I suppose it would not have gone over big at the hunting camp, but “I love you brother”.

My first memories of Brent, involved him being Sherry’s little brother. I remember so many funny memories at the exhibition, with Brent and Bob and Kelly. I so loved to watch he and Sherry figure skate. I loved to go to the trailer in St Andrews with them, where we were treated like royalty. I loved it when we went snowmobiling together, having little cookouts at the lake. In later years when I went to Community College, I lived with Brent for two years. He was like a big brother, even though I was older. He did everything for me. I saw what a great son he was, and what a great student he was. When I got married and had children, he was their godfather. Over the following years, although we didn’t see as much of each other as we should, when we did, it was as if we were never apart. My husband Doug and I are thinking of and praying for Kim, Neil, Claire and all of Brent’s family and friends.
