Obituary of Vernon Bryant Perry

The passing of Vernon “Bryant” Perry of Fredericton, NB, husband of Carol (Pyne) Perry occurred on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at York Care Centre.  Born on October 28, 1931 in Freeport, NS, he was the son of the late Vernon and Aida (Bates) Perry.  Bryant served in the Canadian Armed Forces; he was a member of the Black Watch, 2 RCR, serving in Jamaica, Germany and Cyprus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Melanie Perry (Mark) of Halifax, NS and Dawn Forrest (Mark) of Fredericton, NB; granddaughter, Megan Forrest; several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jane Ellen Perry; sisters, Winnie Nichols, Anita Sollows, Irma Green and brother, Arden Perry.

There will be no services by his request.  The family wish to thank the staff at Birch Grove Tower 3 at York Care Centre for the wonderful care and compassion given to Bryant.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
