Obituary of Robert Norman Fanjoy
The passing of Robert Norman Fanjoy of Douglas, NB occurred on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Alden and Marietta (Perry) Fanjoy.
Robert is survived by his wife, Louise (Appleby) Fanjoy; sons, Brian and Thomas (Marilyn); grandchildren, Laura and Benjamin; sister Joan, brothers Dennis, Ronald, Leonard (Janice), Charles (Juanita) and brother-in-law, Carl Appleby (Violet); nieces and nephews Verle, Kevin (deceased), Jeff, Colinda, DeeDee, Tawnya, Christopher and Timothy; aunt Betty and cousin Lorraine. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Cecil Fanjoy, Lorenzo Wadlin and infant brother, Ted Blaine Fanjoy.
Robert attended NBCC in Saint John, NB and enjoyed his work for NBTel/Aliant as a Network Technician for 37 years. He was a kind and loving man with a great laugh. His life was oriented around his deep faith in Jesus Christ. He was committed to his local church and served in many capacities including Deacon, Trustee, Building Committee, Nursery, 2’s&3’s, Youth Leader and CSB Leader. In his retirement he volunteered at Green Hill Lake Camp, the Fredericton Community Kitchen and the Mission Thrift Store. He faithfully attended Men’s Tuesday morning Bible Study and NBTel Men’s coffee time with Eldred. Robert’s leisure activities included reading the Bible, doing Sudoku, gardening, carpentry, playing badminton and spending time with family and friends around the dinner table. His great lifetime passion came around each year in March; making maple syrup and his talents have been passed on to Brian, Thomas, Laura and Ben. Robert enjoyed every day of his life no matter what he was doing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Douglas Baptist Church on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11am with Rev.
