Obituary of Judith Ann Doak-Crouse

Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Judy Doak-Crouse of Hanwell, NB, on July 13, 2022. Judy was in the care of the Saint John Regional Hospital at the time of her passing.

Judy is survived by her husband Myles, stepdaughter Suzanne Crouse (Brian), step-grandchildren Ben, Jack, and Charlie, sister Alma Lockhart, nephew Shawn Merrithew, and nieces Melissa and Heather Lockhart.

Judy is predeceased by her parents and her sister Sharon Merrithew.

Judy grew up in Doaktown, NB, and then moved to Fredericton soon after graduation. She started her career in the Provincial Government and then moved to the University of New Brunswick, where she retired after 29 years of service in March 2003.

Judy was a dog lover and spent many years attending dog shows with her beloved Keeshonds. Her neighbour and sister would spend many weekends making the tour.

For most of Judy’s life, she surrounded herself with close friends and family. She was always up for a good time and loved to share a laugh over a card game, a group social, or at a camp. She and Myles owned a camp in Doaktown for many years, and later in years, she liked to spend time at the Dungarvon and Renous camps, where Myles was a partner.

Judy loved to travel, and she and Myles traveled across the country, down to Myrtle Beach for several years, and visiting friends in Nova Scotia, PEI, and around New Brunswick.

Ever welcoming, Judy would love to have visitors drop in anytime at the house, and you always had a laugh. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff at the Saint John Regional for their kindness and professionalism with Judy.

There will be no visitation by request. A celebration will be arranged later on the day of the interment.
