GILCHRIST, HELEN GRACE

August 11, 1925 – June 27, 2022

Although we are sad Mum/Nanny has left us we assuredly did not lose her.

We know where she is! Rejoicing...cutting up the rug...at a long-anticipated happy reunion in Heaven!

Our Mum/Nanny had 96-plus years full of life. With lots of laughter and antics, hugs and finger-wagging, domino-playing champ, and yes...cheated at Dutch Blitz. Always busy, she kept us loved and fed with plenty of good home-cooking (nobody can make brown bread like Nan). She kept everyone of us warm with her beautiful knitting, sewn many a dress or outfit; oh and her lovely quilts stitched with great care. She had enjoyed being a member of Lady's Morning Out, the church choir and Pond's Mission Circle at Marysville Baptist Church.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, David and their second baby, Barbara Jean.

And of her 5 siblings, she is survived by Gerald (Vicki Lutwick) and Evelyn O'Brien. And her children, all of whom will miss her, Janet (Carl) Bouchard, Robert (Louise) Gilchrist, Margaret (Ron) Gill, Brent Gilchrist, Jamie Gilchrist and Peter (Michele) O'Brien; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to make mention of Helen's precious friend, Austin Fraser, whom we dearly loved and who is also at that great Heavenly reunion.

A heart-felt thank you to Eden's Retirement Villa Family who cared so lovingly for our Mum/Nanny over the last few years. Thanks also to Staffs of DECH 4NE and Oromocto Hospital Med 1, for your care and support.

Funeral service will be at Bridge Church, Marysville on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:30 am. Interment service for the family at MacDonald's Corner First Cambridge United Baptist Church on Washademoak Lake. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
