Obituary of Lester Perley Fraser

FRASER, LESTER PERLEY

The passing of Lester Perley Fraser of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Region Hospital.  Born on February 23, 1936 in Prince William, NB, he was a son of the late Stanley and Marilda (Kitchen) Fraser.

 

Lester retired as Cpt. from the Fredericton Fire Department; as well as his employment by the Province as a school bus driver.  He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch #80, Nashwaak Bridge, NB. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing golf.  

 

Lester is survived by his children, Sharon Kowalski (Joe), Doug Fraser (Diane) and Greg Fraser (Malinda); 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister in law, Shirley Fraser; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides his parents, Lester was predeceased by his wife Uta Fraser (nee Saunders); long time companion Joyce Webster; sister, Rita and her husband Jack Moore and brother Willard Fraser.

 

In keeping with Lester’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
