Obituary of Graham Arthur McCann

It is with great sadness that the family of Graham McCann of Fredericton, NB announces his passing on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.  He was the son of Hance Lee and Helen Ada (Graham) McCann.  Graham was born in Halifax, NS and spent his younger years in that area, moving to Edmundston, NB in 1969 for Petrofina Canada Ltd., transferring in 1971 to Fredericton, where he made his home.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn (Lynn) McCann; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Graham was predeceased by his first wife, Huguette Beaulieu; sister, Marina Young; mothers in law, Regina Beaulieu, Verna Seymour, and brother in law, Robert Young. 

Graham enjoyed the sales side of business the most, from Renting and Selling Construction Equipment, Lawn and Garden Equipment, Vehicles, Office Furniture, Auto Parts and lastly Tires and Auto Service at O K Tire, where he worked with his buddy Rod and finally retired at the age of 75.  Graham formed many relationships throughout the years and will be missed by many. Graham lived life to the fullest.  His love of horses through harness racing and camping brought much enjoyment throughout his life.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Masks are required for the visitations.  A Memorial Service will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11 am with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating.  Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.  Contributions in Graham’s memory can be made to Nashwaaksis United Church, Hospice Fredericton, Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
