Obituary of Lorna Mary Munn

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Lorna Mary Munn at the age of 87. Lorna was the devoted wife of Melvin Henry Munn. She was a devoted mother to Gary (Elizabeth) Munn, Audrey (Oran) Furlong, both of Fredericton, Norma (Tony) Munn, Alfred (Judy) Munn of Porter Cove and daughters-in-law, Susan Munn and Pam MacPherson.

Lorna was a loving Gram to Nicholas (Jennifer) Furlong, Sarah (Brian) Gilks, Lockie (Chelsea) Munn, Greg (Jenna) Munn and Ashley (Andrew) Welton.

She was a loving great-grandmother to Jeremy Munn, Dalen Furlong, Brayden Gilks, Kinley Gilks, Jaxon Gallant, Brantley St. Onge, Josie Munn, Andie Welton, Adelyn Munn, Bruce Furlong and Richard Furlong.

Lorna was the oldest daughter of Henry and Marjorie (Price) Munn; sister to Abel (Vivian) Munn, Gladys Munn, Geraldine (Winston) Everett, Edna (Cecil) Munn, Eloise (Douglas) Watson, Allen Munn, Connie (Kevin) Howe, Donnie (Niki) Munn, Eldon Munn, Irma Price and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Henry and Marjorie (Price) Munn, Lorna was predeceased by her son, Manny; son-in-law, Andy; sister, Ann Maston; brothers-in-law, Eldon Maston and Bill Munn.

Anyone who came through the door never left hungry and always with something to take home. She sure loved to cook.

The family gives a very special thanks to the staff of Nashwaak Villa Nursing Home for all the kindness and exceptional care shown to Mum and all the family while she was under their care.

Visitation will be at York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7861 Route 8, New Bandon, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Chapel on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 2 pm. Interment will take place in McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery, Porter Cove at a later date.
