ROBINSON, GEORGE “ROY

The passing of George “Roy” Robinson of Fredericton, NB, husband of Charlene (Roherty) Robinson occurred on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on March 30, 1934 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Robichaud) Robinson.  Roy worked for 33 years as an accountant for the Provincial Department of Health.  After his retirement he and Charlene traveled many times to Daytona Beach Florida enjoying the sunshine. He was affiliated with the Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his children, Roy Robinson Jr., Elizabeth Wight (Stephen) and his children Holly, Jessica, Vitus, Anthony and Patrick, Sarah Doohan (Patrick) and their children Silas and Lydia, Charles Robinson (Lori) their children Ivie, Eden and Atia; sister, Shirley Hetherington; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Hilda Laws, Pearl Chapman, Grace Spencer, Marjorie Lavigne, Florence “Toby” Turnbull and Dorothy Miles; brothers, Oscar Anderson, John “Jack” Robinson and Ronald Robinson.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 7-9 pm.  The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2 pm with Pastor Jason Vienneau and Pastor Peter Thomas officiating.  Interment will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery at a later date.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolence may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
