Obituary of Hal Shawn Peterson

The passing of Hal Shawn Peterson, husband of Lori Belyea of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, occurred on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at his home.  Born on July 7, 1976 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Hal Peterson and Denise Arsenault-Shapter and step-son of Edna Peterson. Hal worked as a lineman for Provincial Pole in Alberta. He enjoyed being outside, snowmobiling, had a passion for working, loved "tinkering" and building.

In addition to his loving wife, Hal is survived by daughters, Erin and Sara Belyea, at home; siblings, Amanda Arsenault of Rexton, Jarred Peterson (Rene) of McGivney, Quinn Peterson (Heather) of Fredericton; nephew, Brandon Arsenault of Rexton; father-in-law, Larry Belyea; best friend and chosen brother, Mike Fletcher; several nieces, nephews and extended family; and of course, his fur baby, “Sweety Baby”.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Lorna Belyea.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. At Hal’s request, there will be no public services. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
