Obituary of Bernard Elwood Gullison

The passing of Bernard Elwood Gullison occurred at Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Bernard was the devoted, steadfast and loving husband to the late M. Gail (Spilman) Gullison. Born July 22, 1934 in Giants Glen, NB, Bernard was the son of the late Daniel and Hilda (Sands) Gullison. As a true outdoorsman, Bernard made his living as a woodsworker and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping.  He was always up for a good game of crib. 

 

Bernard is survived by his sisters, Elsie Sands (William) and Valerie Golding (Reggie); brother-in-law, Edward Spilman (Sandra), sisters-in-law, Anna Rice (Winston), Karen Hayes (Wayne), Elaine Price (Kevin) and Dawn Spilman (Steve Fairley); as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Walter, Ralph, and John Gullison; sisters, Dorothy Dorcas and Bertha Moore; parents-in-law, Ted and Greta Spilman. 


Bernard’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation for wonderful care and kindness that both Bernard and Gail received during their time at the Nashwaak Villa. 

 

Due to Covid-19 and the current health restriction, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Nashwaak Villa Foundation Inc. would be greatly appreciated.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
