Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Chase

The passing of Elizabeth Ann Chase of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, February 18, 2022 at York Care Centre.  Born on June 21, 1937 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (O'Hearon) Elgee. Her sense of humour and laugher brought joy to all that knew her.  She loved creating art and enjoyed all the beauty of nature. Elizabeth was an excellent homemaker.  She loved animals especially her beloved dog, Tanner and loved her canine grandchildren. Her love for Joggins, NS, and her fond childhood memories of the time she spent there in her childhood with her beloved grandmother Emma O’Hearon and all her many aunts, uncles and relatives remained as comfort until the end. 

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Pamela Deciccio (Brian), Angela Cairns (Roger) and Andrea Gardiner (Doug); brother, Fred Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frazer; son, Robin Chase and sister, Donna Elgee.   

The family would to thank the Staff at York Care Centre - Tower Two for their care and compassion it was greatly appreciated.

Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Oromocto SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
