Obituary of Ronald Vincent Carr

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The passing of Ronald Vincent Carr of Fredericton, NB, loving and devoted husband of Linda Paulette (Acker) Carr occurred on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on December 12, 1945 in Geary, NB, he was the son of the late Rued and Eva (Mowry) Carr.

Ron dedicated more than 40 years to a career in paving. He loved to spend time in nature, particularly at the camp, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his ATV and exploring the landscape. He was active in curling, and in his younger years enjoyed playing hockey and ball (inducted into the Oromocto Sports Hall of Fame for softball). He had a love for animals and building projects. Ron had a wonderful sense of humour and will be remembered for his love of silly pranks and jokes. He best loved spending time with his grandchildren, Samuel, James, Meredith, Laura, Anna and Jeremie. He always looked forward to family dinners and gatherings.

In addition to his wife and grandchildren, Ron is survived by daughters, Tania Bubar (Mitchell) of Fredericton, NB and Tracy Poirier (Camille) of Ottawa, ON; son, Todd Carr (Tanya) of Fredericton, NB; sisters Bonnie Harnish (Bobby), Heather Boone (Ian) and Lorraine Ball (Linden); brothers Art Carr (Debbie) Darrell Carr (Dolores) and Laurie Carr; as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces.

There will be no services at this time as per Ron's wishes.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the SPCA, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
