Obituary of Carl Ernest Cookson

The family of Carl Ernest Cookson of Stanley, NB, husband of Margaret Eunice (Plume) Cookson is saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on December 31, 1940 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Clair and Greta (Pond) Cookson.  

Carl earned his living doing what he loved, driving trucks and operating equipment. He had a special talent for the work and he took pride in doing it well. He enjoyed meeting new people and making friends at work and campgrounds.  

Carl's family held a special place in his heart. He loved being Gramp to his grandchildren and great grandsons.  

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his son, Carl Cookson Jr. of Ripples, NB; grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlyn, Kerstyn and Lauryn; great grandsons, Carter, Maverick and Sterling; sisters, Faye Noble (Richard) of Calgary, AB and Patricia Dunphy of Hanwell, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant son, Christopher. 

 Carl's family extend special thanks to the extramural team, the 4SE team and the 3E team for their compassionate care to Carl during the last weeks of his life.
