Obituary of Gordon Walter Hetherington

HETHERINGTON, GORDON WALTER

The passing of Gordon Walter Hetherington of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ruth Lynch, occurred on January 5, 2022 at Pine Grove Nursing Home.  Born on April 17, 1939 in White's Cove, NB, he was the son of the late Horton and Ruth Hetherington. Gordon retired from Charmac where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was past member of Orange Lodge and member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by his sons, Mike Hetherington of Fredericton and Kevin Hetherington (Florence) of Rusagonis; brothers, Lloyd Hetherington (Kathy) of Fredericton, Raymond Hetherington (Della) of Havelock, Blake Hetherington (Carolyn) of Cole's Island; sister-in-law Doreen Brown (Allison) of Gatineau, QC; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his first wife, Joann (Rosborough) Hetherington.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. Although there will be no public services at this time, a Graveside Service will take place in Jemseg Cemetery, at a later date.
