Betty Bernice Haines

January 12, 1933 – December 27, 2021

 

The passing of Betty Bernice Haines, wife of the late Douglas Haines (Moe), and second husband Earl Banks (Buzz), occurred on December 27, 2021 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on January 12, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Mary (Abernethy) and Randolph Gammon of Durham Bridge. She was a member of Brunswick St. Baptist Church, and Life Member of ABW. Betty enjoyed playing Bridge, Tile Rummy and other games along with outings with her good friends.

 

Betty is survived by her children, Edward Haines (Thelma Dunfield) Randy Haines (Cathy) and Harry Haines of St. Albert, Alberta; grandchildren, Jennifer Haines (Andrew Pond), Christine Haines (Shawn Allen), Josh Haines (Sarah Gallant), Douglas (Chelsea) Haines and Carter Haines; great grandchildren: Jaydon, Kayleb, Kaleigh, Caris, Cash, Zoe, Zachary, Adrianna and Oswin; Earl's children, Earle (Sharon) Banks, David (Sherry) Banks, Maureen (Shawn) Bilerman, Catherine (Paul Corriveau).

 

The family would like to express their thanks to the Doctors & Nursing Staff at the DECH and at Fredericton Hospice. A lot of good people doing difficult jobs at a difficult time.

 

Although there will be no visitation or service a Burial will take place at Nashwaak Centennial United Church Cemetery a later date. Those wishing to make donations may do so to Fredericton Hospice, Nashwaak Centennial United Church, Brunswick Street Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
