Obituary of Mary Ann Phillips

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The Phillips family lost its foundation with the sudden passing of Mary Ann Phillips of Fredericton, NB. Mary Ann was born on November 11, 1935 in Woodstock, New Brunswick to Phyllis and William Rogers.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents, her beloved younger brother Gerald Rogers and her special granddaughter Lindsey Thompson. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of over 67 years Earlin Phillips of Fredericton, NB and her three children, Diane Thompson (Brian), Elizabeth Wilbur (Stephen) and Eric Phillips (Krista). In addition, Mary Ann was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mary Ann worked for many years with the Federal Government ending her successful career as a manager of the Access Center. Prior to moving to Fredericton Mary Ann enjoyed her winters in Florida and her special place, the family cottage at East Grand Lake. It was at the lake that Mary Ann was in her element entertaining family, friends and Earlin’s fishing buddies who all enjoyed her sharp wit and gracious hospitality. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and keeping abreast of the politics of the day. Words can not express our sorrow at the loss of such a loving, strong and supportive member of our family. She was always there to bolster her family through life’s travails, she was our rock.

Due to the current health restrictions and challenges there will be no memorial service at this time. A celebration of life and internment will occur early summer. Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation can be made in Mary Ann’s memory. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
