RUMBLE, EDITH MARGARET (MCQUINN)

The passing of Edith Margaret (McQuinn) Rumble of Fredericton, formerly of Maugerville, NB, wife of the late Roy Rumble occurred on Friday, December 17, 2021 at York Care Centre.  Born on February 2, 1924 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Moore) McQuinn.  Edith was the sweetest, kindest soul, she wasn’t just nanny to her family, she was nanny to all who knew her. She loved visitors, new clothes, her hair done, looking at pictures, reading the paper from top to bottom, the flyers, shopping, Gospel Music, Judge Judy and  Family Feud that she called “Family Fuel”. She loved her flowers in the summer and watching the humming birds and especially Mrs. Dunster’s Donuts for breakfast! Edith loved her home in Maugerville.

Edith is survived by her children, Elaine MacDonald of Maugerville, NB, Arthur Rumble (Rowena) of Fredericton, NB, Catherine Barclay (Stephen Morris), James Rumble both of Maugerville, NB and Glendon Rumble (Angela) of Mazerolle Settlement, NB; 84 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was predeceased by her son, Darrell Rumble; grandsons, Clayton and Dana Rumble; daughters in law, Diane Rumble and Kimberley Thorne; sister, Dorothy McQuinn-Keetch; brothers, Russell, Chester and Roy McQuinn.
