Obituary of Martin Budaker

The passing of Martin Budaker of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Marie Luise Charolette (Arnold) Budaker "Tucky" occurred on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Pine Grove Nursing Home.  Born on August 15, 1923 in Billak, Romania,  he was the son of the late Michael and Maria (Ungar) Budaker. Martin touched so many lives, he was a practical joker with a heart felt laugh and contagious smile.   He retired in 1988 from construction after 36 years, and started his retirement project to build a hunting and fishing lodge on the Dungarvon River.  M & M Whooper Hollow Lodge,  was inspired by his love of fishing and hunting.  He started the lodge with his wife who was the master chef and did all the cooking which was German cuisine, "Tucky" always made everyone feel welcomed and no one ever left hungry.  After he built up his client base he fully retired, and he and his family became guides.

Martin is survived by sons, Mike Burgess (Gail), George Budaker (Heather Campbell) of Lincoln, NB, Kenny Budaker (The Late Terri Coburn) of Fredericton, NB, David Budaker (Marilyne Chiasson) of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Heidi Budaker (Greg) of Chilliwack, BC; grandchildren, Lisa Baird, Justin Budaker, Ben Budaker, Katrina Chiasson-Budaker, Olivia Chiasson-Budaker, Gabrielle Chiasson-Budaker and Ashley McHatten; great grandchildren, Noah, Savannah, Isabelle, Jemma, Peyton, Lukas, Noah, Nevaeh and Lyncoln; nephew, Mike (Diane) Budaker, and niece, Linda (David) Ketch. Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Michael (Maria) Budaker. 
 

The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 11 am.  Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
