Obituary of Stephen McArthur

 

The passing of Stephen David McArthur "Rusty" of Fredericton, NB, husband of Beverley (Dooley-Arnold) McArthur, occurred on Monday, November 29, 2021, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.  Born on October 20, 1947 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Irvine and Shirley (Tabor) McArthur. 

He was a devoted husband to wife, Bev Dooley-Arnold; loving father to son, Peter McArthur (Serena); stepsons, Rob Arnold (Janice) and Mike Arnold (Tara); Proud grandfather to Liam McArthur, Lauren (Adam Ferguson), Emma Arnold. 'My Pappy', to great-granddaughter, Rosie Arnold, and great-grandfather to Ainsley, Rilee, and Madi Ferguson; Loved dearly by sister, Marlene Pieroway, and extended family.

Numerous phone calls, visits, and offers of help from family, friends, neighbours and former co-workers have warmed our hearts. You managed to bring such a large amount of joy in such a short amount of time. Finally, sincerest thanks to Dr. Tom Barry and the many healthcare workers.

Keeping with Rusty's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton, Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
