On November 15th, 2021 God called home our earth angel, Ruth Waneta nee Boulter, Byrne, Palmer from the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Ruth was born on May 20th, 1938 she was the only child of William and Greta Boulter of Stanley, NB.

 

Ruth established the first Merle Norman franchise in Atlantic Canada in 1978 and was known for operating successful businesses for over 25 years in the Saint John and Fredericton Area. Ruth was an avid cribbage tournament player around the Fredericton area.

 

Ruth is survived by her loving partner, Clarence McDougall, sons and families to which she extremely adored, son, Mike Byrne, (Carolyn Robertson) Robert, Shania of Saint John, NB and son, Bill Byrne (Heather) of Sherwood Park, AB; grandchildren, William J. II, (Kristen) Byrne, Shannon (Chase) Hayden and Steven (Vivian) Byrne; great grandchildren, William J. III, Charlie and Mason; nieces, nephews and cousins.  With heavy hearts Ruth was loved and will be missed.

 

Visitation will be at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. For those attending the visitation or Funeral Service, masks, proof of vaccination and government issued ID is required. For those unable to attend the service, it can be viewed by registering through the Funeral Home’s Website (Click on the link in Ruth’s obituary).  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
