Obituary of Reginald John Bailey

Please share a memory of Reginald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The passing of Reginald "Reg" John Bailey of Fredericton, NB, husband of Anna (Christie) Bailey, occurred on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a brief illness.  Born on September 14, 1927 in Marysville, NB, he was the son of the late Ralph and Jessie (Collings) Bailey.

He worked in the Marysville Cotton Mill until it's close and then with Air Canada until his retirement.  Reg played baseball and hockey as a young man.   His passions were motorcycling with Anna and their friends as well as sailing on his Tanzer 26 "Balewyck".  Reg was wealthy in friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife of 71 years, Reg is survived by his beloved daughter, Cynthia Bailey; nieces and nephews; and grampy to Pixie.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Besides his parents, Reg was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, Ronald "Pooter" and Donald "Butch" Bailey.

In keeping with Reg's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  A Private Family burial will take place in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date.  For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
