Obituary of Deborah Dorcas Davis

With heavy hearts, the family of Debbie Davis announce her passing on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Mountainside Lodge. Born in Ludlow, NB on December 13, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Midge (O’Donnell) Hovey.

Debbie was a loving housewife, Mum and later, she was the cook at Salmon Brook Fishing Camp. She loved her job and the people she worked with. She also loved to play “Rummoli” faithfully every Wednesday night with “The Rummoli Girls”. She rarely missed a chance to get together with these girls for many laughs, snacks and maybe some wine!

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Glen Davis; her children, Carrie (Manley) and Clay (Carla), both of Boiestown; three granddaughters, Amanda (Zoèl), Emma and Carley, all of Fredericton; two grandsons, Jaime (Nicole) of Fredericton and Kye of Boiestown; sisters, Geraldine (Boyd) of Ottawa, Glorna and Elma (Malcolm), both of Fredericton; brother, Donnie of Porter Cove; sisters-in-law, Paulette (Len) of Doaktown, Gwen of Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Wade (Denise) of Boiestown; best friend Roxanne Calhoun; many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

Besides her parents, Mum was predeceased by in-laws, Cecil and Viola Davis; nephews, Troy Morehouse, Trevor Davis; niece, Jayde Hunter; and her beloved Jessie Dog.

A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held at St. James the Greater Anglican Church, Route 8, Ludlow, NB on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Neil Osiowy officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Chow, Vanessa Betts NP, Dr. Clarkson and Dr. Sunita MacMullin for their exceptional care over the years and most recently. To Charlotte Munn for her love and care, Jackie Martin, Sally and all staff at Mountainside Lodge for the excellent care since April 2021.
