With loving pride in our mother in being able to make all of her own final decisions, we announce the peaceful passing of Greta Letitia (Boone) Spilman on August 20, 2021 which would have been the 74th anniversary of her wedding to her late husband, Edward (Ted) Spilman. Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad!

She was born on April 10, 1928 to the late Austin Boone and Julia (Leslie-Thomas) Boone at Boyd's Corner NB.  

She was also predeceased by her eldest daughter M "Gail" (Spilman) Gullison;  brothers; Freddie, Gerald & Henry Boone and sisters; Mildred Boone and Mary Atkinson.

She is survived by her brother, William and his wife Rachel Boone; sister, Jean Biggs, sister's-in-law; Bella Boone, Millie Boone, Jean Spilman and Anita Spilman.  

She is also survived by her children and their spouses; Anna J & Winston Rice, Karen D & Wayne Hayes, J Edward & Sandra Spilman, M Elaine & Kevin Price, C Dawn Spilman & Steve Fairley, and Bernard Gullison. 

She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses; Kris & Jamie Rice, Amy Rice & Steve Goodspeed, Dianne & Scott Sprott, Michael Hayes, Chris & Hollie Spilman, Susanne & Derek O’Donnell, Holly & Nick Wilson, Sarah Price, Amanda Price, Shane Castonguay & Rebekka Vissers and Marc & Nicole Castonguay.  

She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren; Colin, Jordan, Marlee, Katelyn, Joshua, Jessica, Samantha, Anna, Matthew, Sarah, Ella, Andie, Hardy, Cassidy, Scarlet, Kyle, Braydon, Jackson, Luke. Great-great grandchildren Dawson and Baby-coming soon.

We are more than thankful that Mum was able to have her prayers answered in spending quality time with her brother and sister and having a bus ride arranged for her Villa friends to a family barbecue at Elaine and Kevin's home at Millcove, Grand Lake.  Also, a very special thank you to the Staff of Nashwaak Villa, her home caregivers, and our honorary sisters, Tabatha and Sandra. Thank you so much for treating Mum as if she were your very own mother. 

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 23, 2021, from 9 to 11 am at York Funeral Home 302, Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB. A Funeral Service will follow at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11 am with Rev. Canon Bonita LeBlanc officiating. All are welcome. For those who would like to watch via livestream, register to view the service through the link at the top of the obituary. Interment will take place at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB.
