Obituary of Murray Alden Munn

Murray Alden Munn has gone to be in his heavenly home on Saturday August 14, 2021. He was the husband of Minnie (Fairley) Munn. Born on July 22, 1935 in Astle, NB. He was the son of the late Archibald and Winnifred (Davidson) Munn. Murray was a member of the Devon Park Baptist Church and also deeply involved with the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church. He was the Owner and Operator of Murray Munn & Sons Ltd and B&M Contractors Ltd. and well respected forestry contractor. He also developed Glory View Estates subdivision. As well, he was a founding member of YSC Forest Products Marketing Board and Director for many years. Murray enjoyed working in forestry.
Murray was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and great friend to many. He enjoyed serving the Lord, bowling, camping, traveling, four wheeling and spending time with his loved ones.
Murray is survived by his children Larry Munn (Corine), Dwight Munn (Sherry), Beverly Dorcas (Garth); Keith Munn (Gale); brother Laurence Munn (Gladys); sisters Esther Forbes and Bertha Woodcock; 14 grandchildren, Tanya Bates (Michael), Mindy Bloom (David), Scott Munn (Brittany), Aaron Munn (Sarah), Amy Little (Paul), Andrea Richmond (Mark), Anita Dyck (Glenn), Alisabeth Murphy (John), Abigail Munn, Veronica Perrin (Lee), Jenna Perry (Jeff), Chris Munn (Jenna), Todd Munn, Kaitlyn Munn; 27 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Elva Munn and sister Noreen MacDonald.

Visitation will be at York Funeral Home on Wednesday August 18, 2021 from 7-9 pm, Thursday 12-2 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday August 19, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Terry Woodcock officiating. At the request of the family, for those attending the visitation and service are asked to wear masks. For those unable to attend the service, it can be viewed by registering through the Funeral Home’s Website (Click on link in Murray’s obituary). Interment will be held in the Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
