Obituary of Mabel Arleigh Amos

The passing of Mabel Arleigh Amos, wife of the late Shirley Amos of Carroll's Crossing, NB, occurred on August 11, 2021 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on December 25, 1935 in McNamee, NBshe was a daughter of the late Walter and Florence (O'Donnell) Lyons. Mabel was a past member and Sunday School teacher at Carroll's Crossing Baptist Church. 

 

Mabel is survived by her daughters, Gail Chappell (Douglas) of Riverview, Glenna Sharpe (Bruce) of Peterborough, ON; son, Gregory Amos (Gale) of New Bandon, grandchildren, Keith (Marcia), Kenneth (Tara); great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Ethan, Jonas and Avery; sister, Lois Dore; brother, Darrell Lyons (Alice); chosen brothers, Donald Lyons (Joan) and Stephen Lyons (Maria); several nieces and nephews.


Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Greta Price, Ivy O'Donnell, Ede Price, Mary Lyons, Gertie Lyons; brothers Carol Lyons, Ben Lyons, Murray Lyons.
 

Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 2-4 pmThe Funeral will be held at Miramichi Valley Chapel on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Ron Carroll officiating.  Interment will take place in Carroll's Crossing Baptist Cemetery, Carroll's Crossing. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
