Obituary of Elizabeth Ann DeGrace

Elizabeth “Betty” DeGrace, nee Doucet passed away in Fredericton, New Brunswick on surrounded by her family Thursday, August 5, 2021 which would have been her mother’s birthday.  Betty was born on August 29, 1940 in Bathurst, New Brunswick to Lila and Leo Doucet.

She is survived by her children; Lise O’Brien (Peter), Nicole Gilbey (Danny) and Marc DeGrace (Stacey); four grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Kelly, Jeremy (Chantal) and Branden, as well as five great grandchildren; her brother Bob; sisters, Roy and Joan and special friend, Leo LeBlanc.

Mom was predeceased by her parents; Leo and Lila Doucet; brothers, Ken, Ron, Reg and Blair; sisters, Marion and Eleanor “Noonie” and the father of her children, her first husband, Adrien “Andy” DeGrace and her spouse, John Patterson.

At Mom’s request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Fredericton for their support and care on Mom’s final days.
