Obituary of Wayne Williams

The passing of Wilson “Wayne” Williams of Hamtown Corner, NB, husband of Coleen (Gorman) Williams, occurred on July 29, 2021 at his home.  Born on August 10, 1942 in NB, he was the son of the late Florence (Jones) and Albert Williams. 

 

Wayne first started working for Capital Co-Operatives installing furnaces and then he went to work for Hawkins Equipment and finished his career there as the Service Manager before retiring.  Wayne was a mechanic and he enjoyed building snowmobiles for Ice Drag Racing and was well known for the work that he had done.

 

Wayne is survived by daughters, Angela Williams of Hamtown Corner; Wendy Morrell (Larry) of Limekiln; Stacey Williams (Tom Ransom) of Halifax; grandchildren, Chris Boone (Marie Calhoun), Amanda Boone (Tyler Crossman), Max Morrell, Thomas Ransom, Hannah Ransom, Oliver Ransom and Henry Ransom; great grand daughter, Lily Boone; brothers, David Williams (Carol); Ronald Williams (Wanda); sister, Susan Tranquilla (Dwaine); cousin, Bonnie Hawkins (Edward); brother-in-law,  Royce Gorman (Theresa).   

 

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis and Grace Williams.


A Graveside Service will take place in North Cardigan United Cemetery, North Cardigan on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 11 a.m., all are welcome, Pastor Chris Walker will officiate.   In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, remembrances may be made to COPD Foundation, or a charity of choice or donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
