Obituary of Zula May Morehouse

The passing of Zula May Morehouse of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Charles "Malcolm" Morehouse, occurred on Monday, July 19, 2021 at York Care Centre.  Born on May 31, 1925 in Zealand, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gustavus and Eva (Crouse) Wilson.  Zula worked as a bank clerk, as well as, bookkeeper for the family business, Morehouse Construction.

She was an active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church; she sang in the choir for over 80 years and taught Sunday School.  Zula also enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking and doing crossword puzzles.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  

Zula is survived by daughters, Cheryl Jewett (Paul E.), Patricia Jewett (Paul L.) and Janice Wallace (Ross); grandchildren, Lynsey Wall (Brian), Graeme Jewett, Chelsey Jewett and Teri Ann Jewett-Smith (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Alley Wall, Lauren Wall, Ben Smith and Kate Smith; sister, Avis King; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Zula was predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Jewett; sisters, Noreen Rowe, Neva Wallace, Ferne Wilson and Aldah Burtt; and brothers, Paul Wilson and Aubrey Wilson.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 6-8 pm.  A Private Family Service will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating.  Interment will take place in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Zealand, NB.  For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
