Dear Michael,
Thinking of you and your family at a difficult time. Judith was a remarkable woman both professionally and personally. I was honoured to appear before her in her professional capacity and to learn from her knowledge of the law. She leaves a remarkable legacy and will be missed by so many. Best wishes.

It is with deep sadness that I heard the news of Judith's passing. She was a dedicated advocate for women in the law and a champion for those facing challenges in accessing the justice system. Her legal accomplishments and awards were exensive. Yet, no matter how busy she was, she found time to sit on the Board of Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick where she acted as our Chairperson for over ten years. On a personal note, Judith was a friend and colleague. She had a brilliant mind and a wicket sense of humour, and she always spoke adoringly of her family. You will be missed dear friend.

I was surprised and shocked to learn of Judith's passing and want the family to know that you are very much in my thoughts and prayers for healing during this difficult time. So young.. I had the privilege of working too briefly with Judith as we - she mostly- prepared the terms of the Canadian Charter provision in relation to the French and English Linguistic Communities (s.16.1 of the Charter). A brilliant but very caring and sensitive human being. The Senate, too, has lost a valuable and conscientious member.

Judith will certainly be missed. She was a huge advocate for First Nations and it showed in the meetings we had with her; we certainly knew where her heart was. I looked up to Judith and was very fond of her. She had a love for her family and always talked about her grandkids. I send my deepest condolences and sympathies to her family. RIP Judith

Dear Mike, Mathieu, Stephanie and family: I was so sorry to hear of Judith's passing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. I worked for Judith in her home for a few years. She was always so kind to me. She became a friend as we got to know each other. Sadly, I had to give up working for her, as my mother became ill. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are so sorry to hear about Judith's passing. She was an incredible representative of New Brunswick, and brilliant lawyer and a huge supporter of lawyers. We will always be grateful for her support, encouragement and mentorship while we were law students. Her commitment to equality and bilingualism helped shape New Brunswick, but her kindness and generosity to everyone she met is what we will remember most about Judith. Our sincere condolences to her children and family. Susan Gunter & Chris Irwin
