Obituary of Donna Marie McWhirter

The passing of Donna Marie McWhirter of Fredericton, NB, wife of Ronald  A. McWhirter of 59 years, occurred on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on July 21, 1937 in Tracy, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Turnbull) Saunderson. 

Donna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She lived her life to the fullest and was always putting others before herself.  Donna started her career as a secretary with the New Brunswick Department of Finance. She met her husband, Ronald in Port Cartier where they worked for Quebec Cartier Mining and Railway, together they travelled and worked for many companies in many places over the years.  She was always working right beside Ronald and supporting him and her family.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by daughter, Heather Willett (Kerry); sons, Andrew McWhirter (Karen) and Kevin McWhirter (Kelly);  grandchildren, Steven, Andrew, Sophie, Celeste, Christy, Samuel and Connar; sister, Irene Phillips (Dale); brother,  Vernon Saunderson (Carol); several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
