Obituary of Linda Faye Vincent

The unexpected passing of Linda Faye Vincent of Keswick Ridge, NB, wife of David Vincent, occurred on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on July 3, 1956 in Keswick, NB, she was the daughter of Owen and Ina (Clark) Jewett.   

In addition to her parents and husband, Linda is survived by her sons, Michael Vincent (Natalie) and Paul Vincent (Melissa); grandchildren, Geneviéve, Claire, Sophia, Wyatt and Noah; brother, Brian Jewett; chosen family, Lauren and Andrew Reece; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Gail Morehouse.  

 To know Linda, you knew her immeasurable love for her family and for her church. Linda worked for many years providing a safe and loving child care home where so many children spent their early years feeling Linda’s unwavering compassion and support.

 Linda was a dedicated elder for many years at the Keswick Ridge United Church, setting up many programs and services such as her strong devotion to the Christmas families program which helped so members of the community when they needed a helping hand along the way. 

Linda was simply known to us as “Grammy”, she was so much more, she was a devoted wife of 45 years, a strong loving mother to everyone who walked into her kitchen, she was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, she was a loyal friend and a trusted confidant to so many over the years.  Linda’s true calling in life was to be a grandmother, this was a job she embraced with an immense force of love, caring, patience and compassion.  The individual special bond she has fostered with each grandchild will never be forgotten. She loved each of us all fiercely, whole heartedly and completely. 
 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6-8 pm.  The Funeral Service by invitation only will take place at Keswick Ridge United Church on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. David Luker officiating and Rev. Dr. Amos Adeniyi assisting.
