Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Palmer

The passing of Mary Elizabeth Palmer of Fredericton, wife of the late Reginald Palmer, occurred on June 14, 2021 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on June 23, 1937 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Wheaton) Boone. Mary retired from Kmart where she worked in the layaway department. She enjoyed listening to country music and loved to knit, having provided many mittens and other items to all members of the family over the years.

 

Mary is survived by her children, Kim Palmer (Faye) of Nackawic, Mark Palmer (Joanne) of Killarney Road, Stephen Palmer (Laura) of Fredericton, Angie Palmer (Joey) of Killarney Road;  grandchildren, Crystal (Jim), Tasha (Chris), Dustin, Cody (Summer), Kayla (Karan), Zak (Danielle), Kienan, Mason; great-grandchildren, Connor, Landen, Sawyer, Maeve, Aly, Addie; sisters, Marjorie Boone of Fredericton, Nancy Barnet (Dave) of Nova Scotia, Margaret Crawford of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Jean Brawn of Fredericton; several and nephews.


Besides her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Cole and Bobby MacDonald.

 

A Graveside Service will be open to the public with required restrictions in place at Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
