Obituary of Josephine Brown

The passing of Minnie "Josephine" Brown of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on April 11, 1932 in Empress, AB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Laura (Hunter) Calhoun. 

Josephine is survived by her children, Carolyn Brown of Fredericton, NB, Gloria Brown of Lincoln, NB, John Brown  of Harvey, NB and Joyce Aubin of Lincoln, NB; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; brother, Vincent Calhoun (Shirley) of New Bandon, NB; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Josephine was predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Brown; granddaughter, Melanie; brothers; Carl, John, Claude, Emerson, Lester and Colby; and infant sister, Phyllis Jean.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 1- 2 pm; followed by a Funeral Service by invitation only at 3 pm with Rev. Raymond Woodward officiating.  Public is welcome to register to view the live stream at www.yorkfh.com.  Interment will take place in Astle Community Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
