Obituary of Peter Eugene McLeod

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Peter Eugene McLeod, husband of the late Florence "Bonnie" Deborah McLeod, on June 11, 2021 at Shannex - Regent Hall, Fredericton, NB.  Born on March 16, 1929, he was the son of the late George Alfred MacLeod and the late Ethel Jane (Jeffries) McLeod. For most of Peter's career, he worked as a heavy equipment operator, mechanic and driver in the Royal Canadian Air Force with service oversees in France. After retiring from the Air Force, Peter and his wife spent several years as owner/operators of a daycare in Moncton, "Bonnie's House".

Peter is survived by his daughter, Debra Bourque of Halifax; son, Rick McLeod of Fredericton; and granddaughter, Rebecca.

Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline McLeod in childhood; and brother, Hiley McLeod.
 

Arrangements have been intrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. In keeping with Peter's wishes, there will be no public services held. Interment will take place in River Bank Cemetery, River Bank, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to All Saint's Anglican Church, Marysville, NB or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
