The passing of Stanley “David” Leslie Durling of Fredericton, NB, husband of Darlene (Howe) Durling occurred on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Moncton City Hospital.  Born on May 14, 1942 in Annapolis, NS, he was the son of the late Irvin and Lealia (Robar)  Durling.  David graduated from Maritime Forest Ranger School in 1965; he worked with the Canadian Forestry Service, Fredericton, NB from 1966-1969; he then worked with the Canadian Forestry Service in St. John’s, NL from 1970 until he retired in 1996.  He moved back to Fredericton in 1996.  David enjoyed hunting moose, fishing and canoeing in Newfoundland

 

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his son, Ross; granddaughter, Zarollina; mother in law, Eva Howe; sisters in law, Jean Whitlock and Cheryl Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.

 

In keeping with David’s wishes there will be no formal services.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
