Obituary of Glen Royce Somerville

The passing of Glen Royce Somerville of Taymouth, NB, husband of Gertrude (Woodcock) Somerville, occurred on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB.  Born on June 1, 1942 in Zionville, NB, he was the son of the late Vincent “Ted” and Violet (Gallagher) Somerville. Glen was a member of Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church, Taymouth, NB.  Glen loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. 

Glen is survived by his son, Paul Somerville (Ethel); daughter, Betty Ann Waite; grandchildren, Lacey-Dawn Ferguson (Luke) and Amber O’Donnell (Tyson); great grandchildren, Charles Ferguson and Marjorie Ferguson; brother, Bill Somerville (Erma); sister, Alice Boardman; brothers in law, Harlan Woodcock and Brian Gilmore; sisters in law, Sadie McLean, Charlotte Somerville (Bill) and Sharon Woodcock; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by his brother, Royce Somerville; and son in law, Preston Waite.

 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service by reservation only will take place at Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church, 2265 Route 148, Taymouth, NB on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating.  For those who wish to attend the service please contact the church at (506) 367-2201.  Interment will take place in Zionville Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
