Obituary of Betty Leona Price

Betty Leona Price, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2021 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home. She was born on January 1, 1939 in McNamee, NB to Irvine Price and Della (Stewart) Price. She married her long-time friend and love, Lawney Haviland Price on March 16, 1957.

Betty devoted her attention and love to her family. She enjoyed attending church in McNamee, reading the Bible and enjoying the company of her family and friends. She also enjoyed the outdoors; of boats trips on the Miramichi or simply gathering lilacs around home.

Her life is a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - “And be true kind one to another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Lawney Price; and her son, Mark Price (Ivy Griffin). She is loved by her grandchildren, Alyssa, Brooke, Casey, Cyarra and Dawson. She is survived by her sister, Mary (Price) Corkum as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by her four brothers, Albert Lyons, Harold Lyons, James Lyons and Merle Lyons.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Public visitation will take place, with COVID restrictions, at McNamee Pentecostal Assembly, McNamee , NB on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 12 – 1 pm. A Funeral Service, by invitation, will follow at the church at 2 pm with Rev. Allison Cromwell officiating. Interment will be in the McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery , Porter Cove following the service.
