To Don, Carl and Bruce, I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I first met her in the early sixties and had remained friends since. I always found her to be sincere and very friendly. May she Rest In Peace.

Bruce, Marilyn, Andy and Danielle - Sorry sorry to hear of Velma's passing. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She treated our kids like they were her own grandchildren. Happy, generous and always reaching out to help others. She set an example of how to live life. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. .

To The Family:
I started working in the SPD department around 1986 and that is where I first met Velma. Velma was always so friendly and helpful and the group we worked with at that time, had a lot of laughter and fun together. I remember her always being a hard worker and could outwork people that were half her age. She always spoke lovingly of her family and it seems like she was always doing something for someone.
The last time I saw Velma was about 10 years ago shopping at Superstore. She looked the same, that beautiful smile and I think she knew everyone in the store as she would just go a few feet and you would hear someone say her name and she would stop and talk. She was a very special lady and I'm sure you are all going to miss her so much. Cherish the precious memories you have of her.
Sincerely,
Maria Pugh
