It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Shirley Ann Kathleen Brewer at Hospice House on Monday, April 26, 2021. Mom was predeceased by our dad of sixty years, Merlyn Albert Brewer.  Mom was born in Bristol, NB on January 17, 1934 and was predeceased by her parents, Hayward and Cora (Jones) Billings.

Mom is survived by her children, Terry (Beth), Corrine and Pam (Rodney).  Predeceased by her son Clifton “Kip”. Also survived by her grandchildren, Kirk (Laura), Craig, Kari (William), Coralie (Rob), Shellany, Shianne and Shane (Kristy); great grandchildren, Kyle, Jessica, Anderlee, Ryan, Jonathan, Alivia, Thomas, Madelyn, Jacob, Hunter, Emma, Graylin and Ashlin; great great grandchildren, John, James, Alaina and Aubrey;  sister, Barbara Richardson; sisters in law, Joanne Beals (Dave), Geraldine Dunphy (Eldon) and Marguerite Brewer.

Mom was predeceased by brothers, Floyd, Elwood and Carroll; sisters, Irma, Connie and Alta; brothers in law, Clifford, Arnold and John; sister in law, Florence.

Mom devoted her life to her family.  She enjoyed baking for all, was an avid bowler, skilled quilter, competitive Skip-Bo player, and believed in keeping active. She could often been seen walking the roads of Burtts Corner with her best friend Vivian or she was delivering the Daily Gleaner to her friends and neighbours, something she had done for 30 years.  Mom was a member of the Burtts Corner Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Society.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Hospice House for the special care they gave Mom as well as to us the family, as we spent time with her.
