The passing of Marion Louise Porter of Fredericton, NB, wife of David Porter occurred on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a long courageous battle; she was sustained through out by her faith and family. Born on July 2, 1957 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late George William and Louise (Colford) Woodcock. Marion loved her family, her cats, drawing and collecting teddy bears.
In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by her children, Louise Villanveua (Miquel) and Nathan Arbeau; grandsons, Austin (Destiny), Aiden and Jacob; great granddaughter, Isabella; her sisters, Anna and Lottie (Alan) and brothers, Lloyd and Wallace. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Chloe; sister, Eldora; brother, Billy and niece, Lori Ann.
Because of the current health situation, Covid restrictions will be in place for the services. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 6-8 pm. The Private Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Kelly Burke officiating . For those who wish, remembrance may be made to CARMA. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
